Support for young investigators with low financial background

The 13th ICEBI will offer a limited number of grants for young investigators with low financial background so that they can afford the conference costs. So far we are in the position to allow for up to 25 grants with 180 Euro each. Therefore we explicitly encourage PhD students who feel the necessity to apply for those grants.

The application should include:

  • A brief statement on letterhead signed by a department head/advisor which confirms their status as a full-time student and the lack of alternative funding for their participation.
  • A curriculum vitae including a publication list

Selection criteria

As we cannot provide a general support for all students we have defined the following selection criteria:

(1) 50% of the supported contributions shall be on general Bioimpedance research while the other 50% shall be dedicated to Electrical Impedance Tomography.

(2) Candidates from one of the countries listed in the appendices (at the bottom) of this webpage will be preferred. This criterion is based on the gross domestic product of the respective countries and serves as a basis for waiving the tuition fee for students of the Graz University of Technology.

(3) Authors with high-quality publications will be preferred, so the papers will be assessed by an international advisory board.
